Following such a successful inaugural event this year, meeting and event planners are being encouraged to open their diaries and pencil in dates for Get Local which will return to ICC Sydney from June 22 to 23 in 2023.

Get Local owners have taken the decision to move the expo in light of the recent COVID-19 outbreaks and various government-imposed lockdowns, the person-to-person event will now take place on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 August 2021.

The Australian Government has announced changes to its Business Events Grants program, with a key change being a reduction of grants to $5,000 to allow small business to participate in Approved Business Events. Get Local is on the list of Approved Business Events meaning that those considering exhibiting can now apply to do so at a reduced cost. Applications close 30 June 2021.

Despite selling over half the show floor, Co-Owners Gary Bender & Donna Kessler have decided to postpone due to concerns over the implications COVID-19 will have on buyer's capacity to book and spend in the year ahead. The success of the show's brand is based on very strong ROI for exhibitors, rather than risking a lower than normal return for exhibitors, we have taken the decision to postpone the show.
